Riding on factory brake pads at 106,000 miles
Hi all,
I am brand new on here but figured it would be a great place for this question. I've got a 99 civic that, as the subject line says, has it's original pads and shoes at 106.000 miles. I am still ahving no problem but think it's probably wise to not push my luck and replace them. My question is what are the absolute highest quality rotors and pads I can buy? I am not concerned about performance but don't want to be doing this in another 20,000 miles. My parts guy (a real parts store) says that he can get some pretty good rotors but that they are all chinese now. I would rather research my options and get the best I can find. I am not looking for oversized or drilled, just straight up replacements. Any suggestions on the pads, shoes and rotors? |

Do they make just straight up replacement parts though?

Just put another set of factory pads on. You don't have to do anything with the rotor unless it has been damaged.

brembo is aftermarket, just buy from a honda dealer and it will be perfect replacement.
