Me too. I don't know why everyone shifts so low??? It's like they want to save their engines!!! J/K! But yeah, I like shifting higher, gives you that extra "go power" when you hit the gas again!!! (And I like to hear my exhaust!!!!)

That aint anything, i was running a p08 base map with a p30 rev limiter and red line. I could peg that tach out like nothing.
haha. ive got a VX cluster that i might start using, and my ecu gives me 8600 before fuel cut, so with a little headwork, i can go WAY over the redline.

apparently, i shift like a little old lady.

I was looking at my tach tonight, and I was consistently shifting at 3,500 rpm. I even shifted at 2,000 rpm into fifth one time inside the city limits. lol.

my dx doesn't have a tach and autometers are gawdy. looking for ef cluster with tach if anyone has one.
Get a Swapped cluster...It's FUN

I'm afraid every shift is pretty much giddy-up. 4000-4500 for reserved driving and 5500-6000 for slower cars move to the right please. The fun thing is timing a light so that I don't stop and taking 2nd gear from 2000-6000 before a shift. That really is a long gear.

In my Civic, I generally shift around 3k RPM. I avoid excessive RPM for gas reasons and rev it high enough to avoid lugging. I have never taken the Civic to redline and I really don't intend to. I has no power and as you rev it up, it just sounds like a lot of metal moving around and it does not have that, 'put you in the seat' factor. In my other car, I try to shift at 3k RPM, but I find 5-8k is where I normally shift.
