Should i give my Mechanic the Timing Belt Job?

What should i do? I passed by on my way to my house this afternoon and asked him how much he would charge me for the timing belt job and he say $110 for belts, tensioners, water pump, seals, etc... and to just buy the parts. The parts cost around $220 so no more than $350 which is good but i don't know cuz 2 months ago he did the job for my 94 accord and i felt like he didn't do the timing correctly. although i'm not quite sure if it was his fault or because i damaged the pistons and valves when the belt dismounted that time. He got the car started which was the main thing though cuz the car wouldn't start cuz the timing belt slipped out of position.

Honda says it's about $650 for parts and labor with one year warranty. what should i do? $300 savings is $300, which i can use to get new tires that i need.

if you have doubts about this mechanic find another one, any outside mechanic should be cheaper than the stealership. only reason i have stepped foot inside a dealership is for "test drives" =D.

if your not satisfy with his job then look for another local place to do it. that is a pretty good price though.
