So I finished using seafoam in my car....no smoke

I drive a 2000 civic ex. Currently at almost 135k and I use those fuel system cleaners every few thousand miles. Well a couple weeks ago I ran seafoam in my gas tank and through the intake. Today I put some in the crankcase because I'm getting an oilchange tomorrow. Well no smoke came out, none. I drove it around a little bit, got some food, gas, lottery scratchoffs, went to atm and smoke never came out.

Is my engine really that clean? I know it's a stupid question, I just assumed some smoke would come out.

You only really see any smoke when you are adding it through the intake. The smoke doesn't come from the dirt and carbonthat is cleaned off, seafoam just burns that color.

If done correctly after adding it into your intake manifold a 1/3 of the bottle slowly, shutting the car off for 10 min than on start up it should jet out white smoke. My guess is that you didn't add enough. It's not going to smoke if you justadd it to your gas and crankcase.

well like I said. I added 1/3 to gas and 1/3 to manifold and just yesterday added 1/3 to crankcase. I turned it off for 5-7 minutes and neither time did smoke come out.

well the main thing that will make is smoke is thru the vacume line. i typicaly let mine sit 10-15mins then start it up let it idle for about2-3mins then i hold the rpms up around 2-3K and you get a really nice cloud out the tailpipes....

last time i seafoamed my 94civic i was screwing around and was able to blow smoke halos out the tailpipe.LOL it was pretty funny but no way to get it on tape by myself....

but it could be your car just isnt to dirty. 2nd time i did my 99 civic it didnt smoke much at all. but the first time it was really smoking ALOT!

might be why your not getting white smoke. your already cleaning things out.

Same thing with me. Ran it through mine a few weeks back, and this was after a thorough 'steam cleaning' from the popped head gasket last summer (the pistons and cylinders were spotless after that).

Anyway, I poured a little more than 1/3 into the brake booster vac line (it idled really crazy while I had the vac line off - ran up, then dropped back down, then up, then down...). After I shut it off, I let it sit for about 15 minutes, then fired it up. Smoked a very little bit... not much at all... and only for a few minutes - then... done.

Your engine is probably just that clean. I wouldn't worry about it.
