Uh...most people with original high mileage engines are still driving them...not selling them.
177K and all original motor.

on my car 92 civic si hatchback, original motor, i have 330,045 on that beast, she is still running strong. new air intake, spark plugs and wires changed every year. oil air and fuel filters changed frequently . all fluids flushed and changed regularily, and oil changed at around 5,000 with synthetic oil...

"I remember when my 93 Civic was new - there where tons of them on the road - where did they all go? "
I got one sitting in my driveway with 149,846 original miles on it. Honda's will run forever with proper care. I consider my 150,000 miles pretty low! Go honda.

high milage cars are always a buyer beware..... no matter what kind of car people just dont typicaly like anything ober 150K miles....
my old 96jimmy has ruffly 180K miles on all original mechanics... only thing wrong with it now is we think it sjust the fuel pump... i gotta change the relay first since its quick and easy hopefully tahts it and the car will run again. only problem outta that truck was a tranny pressure sensor which was a cheap fix... i tried selling the darn thing and just couldnt sell it! i though tit was super cheap for about 4Kbucks no that milage number is a huge scare cause most people think high mileage means the cars about dead.... when its hardly ever true!
depends more on the driver.... if you get that much milage outta original equipment then its been driven easy.... and as long as the next driver takes it easy alsoo it will be a great buy.... but if they jump in the car and hot rod it of course the cars not gonna last.LOL
most people just dont care anymore abotu older cars and either part em out and take the scraps to the steel yards or crushers.... OR like previously said..... they just keep em until thiers a realy serious problem that would cost more to fix than another car would cost.LOL

god my cx is turbocharged with 185,000 miles and the only thing that is wrong is the turbo seals are going out so it smokes a little on acceleration. but im getting ready to retire the old motor and put in some real power hahahahaha which is coming along very nicely

96 civic ex coupe, 150,000 and still going strong, thank God. I don't care about mileage because there are alot of people who take care of their cars. But I agree with post above with honda's 150,000 is just the beginning for a honda, I say 150,000 is just breaking in the motor.

1993 EG8, D15B7, 142,500 miles, last person did little maintenance, so I'm stuck with the check. Oh well, 30,000+ miles in one year (had 109,000 when I got it in July '05), seen the red line almost every day, change oil the week it gets dirty, fix problems BEFORE they get major, car runs well! Leaks NOTHING! I am surprised the car has taken all this abuse so well. Maybe though I should stop delivering food, delivery driving = greatest stress on car.
Maybe the Hondas with blown up engines are all from dopies ricing them. They do it wrong, and the little D15 don't like it!
