stupid but quick question

whatsup, i bought a bottle of this transmission fluid where its supposed to help smooth out hardshifting. But i cant seem to find my transmission dipstick and i have no idea where to pour it. Is there supposed to be a bolt? thanks for the help

btw i have a 95 civic ex manual

RE: stupid but quick question

theres no dipsticks in manual transmissions...theres a bolt...go to the passenger side of the car lift your car..and turn your wheel all the way to the right...you'll see a bolt...you have to use a allen key to open it...its like in the middle of the tranny...your gonna have to get this special tool its like a suction gun...it has a rubber hose...u put the fluid in the thing..and put it in the tranny like that..autozone carrys it..its by the transmission fluids...and just throw it in..

Just a suggestion. Sounds like you don't have a lot of experience with cars and to just go buy stuff that is "supposed" to do something makes you a good catch for the snake oil sellers. What product are we talking about?

***STOP**** :(
If my memory is correct 92-95 Civic manual takes 10w-30 or 10w-40 engine motor oil "ONLY" as a lubricant. Check your manual for info. Other than changing the fluid in the manual and switching to a synthetic motor oil I would not monkey with the tyranny fluid.

What is it doing or not doing to make you think this "Happy Shifting" fluid will help???

yeah but for the tranny weights aren't they different?

RE: stupid but quick question

For that year, those are the correct weights

Chances are that if your manual trans is shifting hard the problem is that your synchros are not in good shape. I dunno how a magic fluid is going to fix that but i could be wrong.
