2) look into getting an aftermarket cam... but before you do, you need to be 100% sure whether you'll boost or not; turbo and street cams are different. You can use a N/A cam on a turbo motor, but you won't see as good of gains as you will with a turbo cam.

3) check into an intake mani and a bigger throttle body. You really won't see huge gains with no turbo and the stock cam, but you'll see decent gains once you do put a cam in or boost it

4) if you have the stock cam, don't worry about a cam gear; all it is with the stock cam is bling. Once you have an aftermarket cam that can actually benefit from adjustments, feel free to get a gear.
1) go to the track....

2) i don't htink theres any aftermarket cams for the y7

3) If you wanna keep it N/A than i agree the IM/TB is a good next step

4) I agree, and since oyu can't get a new cam, and i've heard some REALLY questionable reviews of underdrive pulleys, i say skip it and spend the money on something.

thanks for the help and suggestions. i really do appreciate it b/c i probly woulda blew money on a cam gear and pulley.
yeah there are some bad stories about doty road. i witnessed some pretty crazy stuff but yeah people have been killed there due to either money over races or people driving like complete idiots and hitting some other compete idiot who is standing in the street while cars are coming toward them... ect... the cops really only come when stuff like that happens.

Since you got that clutch you may want to consider a lightweight flywheel to go with it.

not getting a lightweight flywheel is what i think helped keep it "streetable". I just had my stock one turned for 40 bucks compared to paying a couple hundred for an aluminum one. if i didn't drive my car every day all year i would have considered it.
