Default swap options

alright, so i've read up and down this site and realize that the d17a2 in my car sucks ***. the only solution: engine swap!!! now...
1. what are my options
2. what do you guys suggest
3. where can i get them

now, the whole reason of my buying a civic is for gas mileage to drive to college with. i don't want to sacrifice too much mpg if i can help it

Honestly you are going to hear this alot, Sell the car and get a 5th or 6th gen Civic, The ONLY Engine you can swap in your car ia a K series and they would set you back at least a few grand for the motor alone, the K20 swaps are around $5K for the motor/trans, you may be able to get a K24 swap for $3k. but that is if you are lucky

Fiirkan is right. You would be much better off selling your car and then buying a 5th or 6th gen shell and then buying a B series swap.

well being in the current situation i'm in, sell/buy isn't an option. so i guess i'll just aim for 200 hp for now with my stock engine

good luck with that....

side note, you could do a mini me, and walk away from it...

but best bet is to do a K series swap, which actually wouldn't be so bad into your car
