ya tho i would say the shop is jsut BSing you about your motor not being strong enough to run the AC... SURE the ac is gonna put a load on the motor and kill performance..... but thtas typical...
i think you need to go to another shop and just find a place to get your system working again.... and dont worry if its not too cool.... my AC takes about 5mins to get cool BUT it does get cool and cold after some time... and the hoter it is the LONGER it takes to cool.... BUT beter than nothing. LMFAO

Well, my ac doesnt get cool..just luke warm. If I have my ac on, I have to have the gas floored to hold 60mph, and forget passing or even sitting at a light with it on. Not having an ac isnt so bad, nothing gets sweaty but my back from not having any air moving around it. That little seat cooling thingy is a cool idea but the reviews are..meh
I've seen a set of modified sport seats in I think it was a mazda rx8 where they had removed all of the center section of the seat backing and had flexable mesh stretched acrost it..... as long as you have something to anchor the mesh to you could strip/gut the back padding to have it vented as well as you could rig up some fans....
