Default Thinkin about getting a new car

So i been doing alot of thinking and i want to get a new car. so that brings me to my next questoin. witch kind of civic is the fastest STOCK. ex si dx lx or other. ive came to realize without a turbo my civic just isnt gonna be fast enough so i want a fast stock one and build it up. i dont have enough money for a turbo by the way. and my car has 164,000 miles on it.

Why do you mean by fast? Do you want something that accelerates quick? top speed? good cornering?

Also do you plan to go to a track? If you don't, you do not really need a fast car as there is a speed limit.

Very generally if you were to compare acceleration of stock Civics from within the same model year, Si better than EX which is better than LX; LX is equal to DX in terms of performance but more luxury stuff inside. There are exceptions though.

92-96 Honda Prelude "VTEC" (that's the model name, has h22a with 190hp) or 97-01 Honda Prelude (all 97-01 have the h22a... 97-98 195hp, 99-01 200hp)

h22a!

i think you'll be content with that in nearly stock form, performance wise. maybe do I/H/E, but i think after that you should focus on suspension. (mid-level suspension products... not no-name ****)

so im guessing your selling your civic you have now? i would look into getting an eg hatch the si model though, even though it is a single slinger its still quite quick due to the less weight it has due to it being a hatchback...but the prelude is nice i have one very torquey.
