Is it time to let my 95 Civic go?

Its not a matter of being lazy. My brother in law has done all the work on it so far, from changing the timing belt to replacing the rack and the clutch. I was just asking because I had no idea how long a Civic lasted. Would it make any sense to fix it if you guys said its well past its expected life span?

Atleast I know I still can put alot more miles on it before junking it.

Thanks
J

Well really, you could drive that thing forever so long as rust doesn't eat it apart. Engine dies, get a new one... it's only a few hundred bucks for a replacement.

Civics are hard to kill. My 90 had 350K+ before I dropped a v8 in her. =)
Thing smoked hard for two years. Burned oil. I even ended up driving with no oil reading on the stick. < didn't realize it, lol >.
As long as you keep oil in the motor, and don't bash it hard, it will last how it is. If you motor somehow dies, you can drop a low mileage motor in for under $500.

If your just wanting a newer car, then go ahead and sell it. Otherwise, just fix the few problems she has, and she will last a long, long time. Well, unless you fight a truck/car/pole. =P

yeah forgot to mention almost all junkyards carry civics man, and if you find a fresh one in your looking for about 4-600$ on the full engine.
D-series, im not sure about the B16 (si) that might cost your around 6-1000$ nevertheless, discounts at it's finest.
