I'm gonna try mine too.
Most of the the "rednecks" at my high school tint their tail lights with a light high gloss black and tons of clear coat. It looks alright, but you can mess up some tail lights if you don't to it right.

Ive even seen on other forums where people have used stockings to "tint" their tail lights

LOL.... well theres no way to mess up the taillights with tinting them.... ya just sand the tint off with some light sandpaper and some simply buffing it back to a shine. its not that tuff ive done it almost a dozen times to the same taillights. and they shiny up just fine.
