trying to figure out what year my car is?
the production date says 11/90 but my friend says thats considered a 91 , so what if a 11 91 ef was made so its considered a 92 even with the body change? this is a ed7 so i think it is a 1990 can i get any conformation? and can i fit 1991 parts on a 1990? or vice versa?

The 10th digit of the VIN encodes the official model year. A letter "L" would be 1990 and "M" would be 1991.

Traditionally, new models reach the showroom in the middle of the previous calendar year, if not sooner. A car leaving the factory in December 1990 would actually be a late production 1991. The photo definitely shows it's a 4th generation type, with the front mounted battery and wide radiator. A 1992 would have the battery back at the firewall and a small radiator.
