valve cover painting help
 
how hard is it to paint the valve cover and what paint do i use were can i get a d15b valve cover gasket. and do i need any thing other than a gasket kit. thanks so much for your help.:)

its not hard to paint the valve cover its pretty much patience, time, and some elbow grease. just sand and clean it really good, lay down primer and lay down the paint. You can use some high temperature primer and/or color paint.

Also, you dont need a new valve cover gasket, you do need some silicone at the camshaft ends in the corners and you should not have any leaks.

plus, look for Plasti-Kote <--- Highly recommended paint.

Yeah the most time is spent sanding, and you honestly dont have to do a perfect job sanding just as long as its smooth. If you lay the paint down well you should never have to worry about cracking or peeling.
