ok i went lastnight to a car meet and this guy was talkin about puttin a lambo door kit on his ek hatch. i told him wat ya'll said to me bout its a waste of money and its unsafe.. then this guy said its also extra weight... i said wat? how is it extra weight? really i never heard anything like that before but is he right?

 

Lambo door kits are made of heavy steel. Each hinge is 25 lbs or so.

It does not make one go faster. Weight makes one go slower.
The parts for the kit are heavy.

 

Or better yet ban egwhite.

Need4speed, yeah they do add aditional weight. because the hinges have to be tough enough to hold the door up in different angles. instead of just one motion..

N4S, like dan said, the hinges add a lot of weight to the car.
