RE: weight?

I know it's around 2200 lbs for a coupe.... I'll see if I can't get the tested weights for coupe/sedan/hatches.

And I dont' know for sure, but I'd guess anywhere from 30-60lbs for the back seat, and probably 15-30lbs for each front seat.

Found it:

2-dr coupe = 2231lbs
4-dr sedan = 2213 lbs
2-dr hatchback = 2108 lbs

RE: weight?

Does anyone know what makes the difference in weight between the coupe and 4 door?

RE: weight?

coupes are longer, fenders, doors, front bumpers etc, and there for longer is heavier.

4doors have a lot shorter, fenders, doors etc.

Not much difference but EVERYONE thinks 4doors are heavier but really there not. so its cool. Or at least in the EG's.

RE: weight?

the fenders are not longer on my EJ2, they are exactly the same, and i thought the doors on the four door are made shorter to accomodate the 2nd door behind? i will try and find a 4door civic round here from 92 - 95, but a civic is a rare thing round here especialy a sedan
