I want the type of honda civic that has a Vtec motor in it. I saw a honda civic the other day when i was riding in town that said Type R and it had Vtec written underneith it. This was right in front of the back tire on the side skirt... Plz help me find out what kind of honda civic this is or what the best type of civic there is to get that i can turn into a dream machine that still will be faster than my friends eclipse. thanx to all who reply....

 

Any Vtec engine has potential... The car you saw was most likely fake. Type R's are pretty rare stateside... something like a few hundred a year or something and are pretty pricey. People just buy the sticker to make it look like the real thing. Find the K20 engine and thats what that car should have in it.

but what kind of civic comes w/ the vtec in it? i dont want to have to do any motor swaps. i want to be able to buy the car and start adding to the vtec motor with out finding money to swap a new motor. I really like the Ex and the Si are these good choices? and i dont want a hatchback....give me advice please... thanx alot!

 

If it's a choice between an EX and SI.....go SI (VTEC).

[sm=smiley20.gif] Good choice, the SIs are hott. Yeah intake and exghaust are the MAIN forst steps, headers and suspension are usually next. But be careful on the headers, if your going turbo, youll need turbo headers.

 

um....today i saw a civic that said vtec DOHC on the side...are those just stickers?
