About those spark plugs with the 4 hooks things..
aren't those extra 3 hooks useless? since electricity travels where ever there is less resistance? thats what i was told in my auto class in high school a few years ago. (the resistance part, not about the spark plugs btw.

Just wondering.

yes they are a total waste of time and money, the funny thing is everyone thinks those 4 tip plugs are new nope. my dad has some hot rod books from the 1950's and guess what they had them then so like i said total waste stick with the stock ngk's.

I ran a set of Bosch Platinums (the basic ones with one side electrode) for a long time no problems. Now I have the stock NGKs in.

Bottom line is expensive plugs don't make your car run better. They can last longer, which would potentially save money if you're paying someone to install them. The DIY mechanic though would be money ahead with $2.00 stock plugs replaced every 30,000 miles.

Installing Iridiums then using ebay knockoff wires is just nuts.

I put bosch plat +4s on my old car and it ran like absolute ****. I thought it was misfiring or something. Then I did some reading and a lot of people had the same issue. Apparently their single electrode plugs are fine but the multiples cause issues. Since then I just stick to Delco for american cars and NGK for imports and I havent had any issues.
