I paid cash for a 2000 honda civic sedan 8 months ago and sometimes i have trouble getting it to start. I would like to replace the ignition coil but i don't know what model it is . When i look up the vin number on the net it comes up as an se. All i know is that it has a dual overhead cam.can someone help me out.

If it's DOHC sedan then it has been swapped or it's not a Civic. (talking USDM of course)

Are you sure that it has a DOHC engine?

What's up guys I really appreciate you guys helping me out.I replaced the spark plugs, wires and the rotor, but when I tried to install the rotor cap that the auto part store recommended for the car it would not fit. So I had to make an extra trip and that's when I discovered that I had a dual overhead cam.

The numbers that are on the engine are as follows:O1657 at the top and 3537152 underneath it.

i seeeee alright. now i feel kinda dumb

trustdestruction 12-20-2009 12:19 AM

2 things:

1. That's an H22A, which makes it JDM and most likely a swap... which it is because that's an EG chassis.

2. The OP didn't post that picture, 94chb did, as an example.

chrismag 12-20-2009 12:25 AM

righht and i understand that. i was just reading quickly and didnt realize who posted what
