What seats fit what years?
My Father-in-Law has a 94' Civic with an extremely bad drivers seat. He has it propped up so it won't fall back and there's sharp pieces of broken metal frame sticking through the back. He's been driving it like this for years!
I told him I would fix it. I found a pair of 96' seats on Craig's List that match the color, but I don't know if they will fit. What year seats (from Civics or other models) fit in what year Civics without modification? If mods are needed, what do I need to do to get 96' seats to fit in a 94'? |
Most honda seats are pretty interchangeable. You can just swap out the brackets on the seats and they will bolt right in. Very easy to do.

92-95 Civic and 94-01 Integra seats will bolt directly into your car with no extra work involved.
To put 96-00 Civic seats in your car, you must swap the seat rails with your original seat's rails. There are a few bolts holding each rail to the seat pan. |
Thanks guys. Glad to hear it's that easy.

+1 on the seat rail swap. Super easy, 3 bolts on each side of the seat, plus a little metal cable for the seat adjustment. ANYONE can do it.
