quick question, when havin headers, highflow cat, and cat-bak installed right, am i suppose to smell some type of gas fumes or something?

Yeah, you would probably experience a gaseous-fume smell. Thats basically what the cat is there for. You will also notice that if you do not clean the back of your car at least once a month, the back end (especially the bumper where the exhaust system ends) will become black.

wat? u serious bout the back part of my car? hell i wouldn't want that. wat bout when i'm sittin at a red light? am i suppose to still smell it kind of strong?

Maybe you have an exhaust leak. Gaskets do blow. And if the system was cheap, it might have cracked.

my cat isn't installed to my downpipe right. i smell it cuz it leaks there but i'm askin... when i install it right, will i have the same problem?

If you're comparing it to a leak at the downpipe right now, then no, it shouldn't be as bad when you fix it

wat if i were to run a straight pipe instead of a cat... will i still smell it?

Probably, the cat helps eliminate the smell. But it shouldn't be as bad as a leak right under you

when everything is fixed, should i be smellin it like its comin from underneath when i sit in the car or i shouldn't since it comes out the bak?

If you have a crack or leak in ur exhaust, especially before the cat, it will smell. If you are running a straight pipe, it will smell but should only smell at the back of the car where the exhaust exits. Any car with a properly working exhaust will not smell at all, especially inside the car...
