wont pass smog!!

Default wont pass smog!!

Hey there...im new and i got a 99 ex with a b16 swap and it wont pass smog. I dont know what to do because i cant even do a crooked smog now due to the shop having records that my car didnt pass. Any suggestions?

I think your exhaust would have more to do with it.

depending how bad it is..i heard to take it out on the highway and warm the motor up really good before you bring it, that might help

Well I heard that if you suck on pennies before a breathalizer that it will confuse it... but that doesnt work (Disclaimer: not know from first hand experience!)

Yea...someone else told me it might be my exhaust. If i had to change it, id probably wanna do an aftermarket tanabe...hope it passes like that. And i did take a look at the one thats on the car now and it does look pretty worn out...also, if anyone knows of any good mods you can do to a b16, let me know....thanks!

You dont have to change it out complelty. All you would need to do is replace the cat converter. But it is an excuse to get a whole new one. Give a buzz to Sam@missionspeed. Hes one of the forum sponsors. He sold me a magnaflow system for like $340 shipped.

Yea...i actually go there all the time, sacramento is my second home...where u located at? Im goin this weekend to buy some interior parts i need...id be more than grateful if u could take a look at it. Thanks alot bro..
