Default Worth of a 98 Civic HX 5spd 65k miles??

Hi all. Just wondering what a 98 Honda Civix HX 5spd w/ 65k miles is worth? It's in very, very good condition. I checked KBB but want to know what its "true" value is. I was thinking $5k but when I recently to it to the shop for brake service I was told I could get $6k easily. Was told Honda owners would swoop on a Civic w/ that low of miles and condition. So I figured before I put her up for sale I should check w/ "real" Civic owners see what they think.

Reason why I'm getting rid of her is because; starting a new family so need more room, and need something that can pull a trailer to hual my toys with.

If you are the original owner and the car wasn't involved in any accidents, you probably get some decent money for it. I'm cheap so I would pay around 4300, but there are bunch of people out there looking for a Non CVT HX.

$5-$6k sounds right.

I know your HX has less mileage, but just for reference, check this out.

It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.

Id start high around $6,000 and slowly progress down if no one takes.

Thanks for all the info. I sold my civic today for $5800. I'm very pleased. Then I went out and picked up a new Dodge Ram Truck today

Wow, you did get a nice price for it, but I guess it's time to say "Good bye gas mileage!"
