B16A2 horsepower
Hello, I am new to this forum and I have a 1998 honda civic ex. I plan on swapping my d16y8 with a b16a2. I am looking to get around 200 horses out of my b16. What is the easiest way to get 200+ horses out this engine without adding a turbo and without spending a ton of cash.

not gonna happen, to get to 200 hp your gonna need around 60-70 more hp. it costs $$$$$$$ and the only way i see it is turbo.
why a b16, it puts out about the same power you have now, i say get a b18c1 thats where the powers at.

alot easier....????? they are the exact same bolt up patteren, they have the exact same casing.. dont listen to who ever is giving you these ideas.
the b18c1 is a little more than the b16, but for the hp it comes with, it almost comes with 200hp. the cost to get the b16 which is a 1.6L the same as your d16y8 to the 200 hp mark will be far more $$$

Wow!!! Hey thanks a lot for the input man. It does make a lot of since now that I think about it. With the b18, I can do a couple of bolt on mods and be pretty close to 200 hps. Any suggestions on the best website to order the engine from? Hmotors is the best from the research ive done so far.
