Welcome, and glad to see another sedan. I think sedans look a lot more stylish than coupes, and its good to see they are gaining enthusiasts here on HCF

lol, the cheap, fast, or reliable thing is good advice.

As everyone has mentioned, stay away from the euro tails and the neon. I would get oem 99-00 tails (even the amber ones, they are the best looking for sedans in my opinion)

As for exhaust, I would stay away from a fart can. I have one, it was a great price, it sounds tolerable compared to others in my town, and its lasted me 2 and a half years, however I still wish I had saved and invested in a twin loop exhaust. Its worth the extra money.

Im a big fan of the oem sedan spoilers (thats why i have one, you can check my garage to see if you like it). It cost me 80 shipped from Autopartswharehouse unpainted. Also the real JDM spoilers look good also, but are harder to find and more expensive.

As previously mentioned, N/A Y7's are not fast no matter what you do to them. Just make sure that you realize that before you start spending big money on it and get disappointed that several thousand later your car is still slow. However as long as you are enjoying building/driving your car it doesnt matter if its fast.

If I were you, I would concentrate on body, and suspension, in retrospect those had the most rewarding input to enjoyment ratio.

goodluck with your project, and hope to see more soon.

Goodluck with your project, hope to see more soon.

Ok lots happened in the past 2 weeks. As I said I got my rims and tires.. I will eventually get around to posting more pictures up. Been busy with the new job, family, and girlfriend lately. I spent $105 to get the alternator rebuilt and then on my way to my girlfriends house my car cut off and wouldn't start, found out I needed a new belt, so i bought one and just put it on today. The car is running good. I need new struts and shocks now but I was thinking about lowering the car so I decided that I'm going to get some coilovers, now I just gotta find some nice affordable ones. :P As for the speed of the car, I do eventually wanna get it to be fast, but thats down the road.. right now I'm working on body & suspension. Gotta get a new hood, trunk, right quarter panel extension, and right rockerpanel cover and then she will be ready for paint.. haven't picked out the exact color yet, but I'm going to get it black. Going to get it tinted with 25% all around. I'm looking for an Si wing but I can't find one.. As I said for the suspension I'm getting some coilovers, don't know when, but I need em asap because the sturts and shocks squeek when going over a mild sized bump. I decided on getting and N1 style catback, I only need the muffler and tip for now. Don't want to dump all my money into performance yet. As for your comments on the sedan. I like the way coupes look better, but I got the sedan because 1. It was cheaper. 2. I have alot of people that ride with me, so it makes it more convenient. and 3. Down the line I don't want to have to get rid of the car because of family reasons, so I figured I'd get a sedan. As you said about the Y7 not being fast, I'm going to eventually drop a b18 in there.. I think! Im not sure which one to get because I'm not really car savvy. So I'm taking any notes on motors to get. I don't wanna boost it, just have a nice fast engine in there. But that's going to be a while into the build. Thanks for looking at my thread you guys, I definitely will update it soon with pictures and more ideas. And I'll be sure to check out your builds'. Until then keep it real.

Joe

Excellent start. First and foremost my friend, lose the tail's. You may like them now, as I did at one point, but OEM's just look way cleaner. Next suspension you can get some coilover sleeves and adjustable struts or it you wanna pay the money I recommend coilovers.

Rims aren't bad. Needs a drop now Grille/headlights/valve cover look good. I would have stuck paper towels in the spark plug tube and oil cap holes to avoid getting paint in them though. Not really feeling the tails or the interior lights. However, I used to have all that stuff back when I was younger. Grew out of that phase pretty quickly I might say.

Clean up that engine bay and sand/paint your wiper blade arms!
