its not really a big problem.... if people actually just replaced the boots when they busted then they would probably last a long time BUT the cost of a new boot and grease.... well its just better to go ahead and get a new one for a few bucks more.

i think its the mainly on the weather changes that makes the boots tear and once it has a tiny tear its going to keep going all the way around. im shocked mine hasnt started clicking yet. all the grease has been gone for quite a long time now.LOL no telling if it broke in the accident or if it was already popped before then. ive been putting it off every payday since its not poping yet. when ever i hear it click then ill replace it. im to lazy to replace something that doesnt quite need it yet.

Updates.

Few days ago I was making a U turn and all the sudden my car made some bad noises and it wouldnt shift into any gear.

Figured out it was the cv shaft that poped out of place due to it not being in all the way. Put it in all the way and its good now.

Also I decided its time to get rid of the gay hubbies... and paint my steelies haha.

Before

After

Car with painted steelies. I need to get some Honda center caps.

I was under the impression you really can't put centercaps on a steel wheel; doesn't the hub stick through the center of the wheel where a centercap would normally go?

And you know you want to paint the hub caps hot pink and throw 'em on there. Do it

(and honestly, your transmission problem... I'd have never guessed CV shaft (well, without looking at the car anyway).)
