ya if you buy from pep boys THEY SUCK... at least my local pepboys sucks! they remove the caps from the ALL of the spray cans saying people paint the isles which i understand BUT they dont know what caps do to each can! and not all tips are the same! some spray wide typical pattern and some spray like a garden hose. it really pisses me off when i buy paint from them! whch is why i TRY to stay away from them if possible!
i typically buy like 3 cans which gives me a 1 in 3 chance to have one good tip! last 5cans i bought i only had 1 good wide spray tip! afew sprayed like a funky garden hose.
thats one reason why i always test the spray on something first to make sure it sprays right before i try to paint the item.

interior looks good tho i hope it holds up good for ya! should look good.

AAAARRGGHH!!!!!!!!!

The first two were nice and misty. The third one was a GARDEN HOSE! JEEEEEEEEZ. I sprayed it anyways and will just hope for the best. The garden hose can does well on the fabric though. I'll be glad when this vinyl stuff is done. Which should be in an hour or so. Pretty much all that's left is a few plastic covers, the steering column cover, and the dash itself. Damn, and the carpet. I may just do the carpet today too. It'll end up in a tub of dye.

The isles get sprayed because people are trying to figure out how it sprays and what color it is LOL.

ya but its just dumb people... IMO they should just put the paint closer to the counter and keep an eye on them or put a DO NOT SPRAY notice or something better than that! or maybe i should just tell them to give me a few extra tips.LOL

but you do know you can just pull the cap off and put the good tip that youve already used on it

just be sure to tip the can upsidedown and spray it like that to clean out the tip. ive been keeping my caps lately just incase i gotta deal with pepboys crap again!

I tried tugging on it and it wouldn't come off... dang. Well, time for me to go check the carnage on the garden hose panel.

[edit] Whew, thanks for the tip Addiction! I really wasn't pulling the thing hard enough. Swapped caps and got an even second coat. The first coat wasn't so bad to begin with. The stuff self levels nicely. All 4 panels are covered. All I need to do is put the handles and stuff back on and they can go back in the car in a few days. Gotta let the smell clear.

Driver's seat and a dash. That's IT.

So here is the end of the door panels. 3 out of 4 done, last one on the way...

Here's the garden hose job from the 3rd can. Ugh, but the stuff self-levels nicely and you can't tell it's special when you compare it to the others.

This is the only thing I HATE. The cigarette burns from the previous owner will NOT take the dye. They're noticeable, but hey. This was a cheap job. Can't expect perfection.

All 4 are done, ready to get put back together and put back in the car.

I haven't gotten to the carpet yet. I wanted to do it today but I don't think I'll have time. Parking is at a premium here at the apartments. They're resurfacing the entire complex's roads and repainting all of the stripes, one section at a time. My section is today.

Still gotta go get one last can of paint so I can do the last of the plastics.
