Got my KTuned header today! Put it on for a test fit. Looks good. Really gets me excited for this thing. Next week I'll be ordering OEM Hardware that I need and hopefully the PS/AC Delete, which will complete the motor. I got my rubber coolant/air/fuel lines too, so I'll be cutting and installing those where necessary.

Id like to see the gains that heat wrapping it would produce... I mean you can barely see the header when its in the car so it would be 100% function haha.

I posted up some info when I heat wrapped my header. I think it was something like 300-400 F with the OEM header, 200-250 with an aftermarket header, and 700-850 with the wrapped aftermarket header. The numbers came from a infrared thermometer after allowing the car to warm up for a bit. If you guys are interested, I could dig up the posts.

The only downside to exhaust wrap is the increased possibilities of cracks/rust in the manifold. However, I have had mine wrapped for the past 1.5 years with no problems.

Would the fact that my header is opposite of that on D & B series motors change anything you think? Being between the motor and firewall?

^^Not sure what you mean. It helps with flow in general being on the back instead of the front.

If you are asking about the effectiveness of heat wrap being increased or reduced due to the manifold behind the motor instead of in front, I doubt anything would change.

Using the header wrap keeps the heat in and flow better, whether it is b d or k it will still have the same effect temperature wise I would assume.
