Looks like the project's going to come to a screeching halt for a while.

*edit: my friend knows of a 240sx for sale in OH for like $600... if it's still for sale, I might end up buying it and dealing with the mustang's damage in the summer when I get out of Wyotech, get a job, and have money.

haha, yeah... well the guy never got back to me about the 240, so I'm assuming he sold it or something. But anyway, I decided when I get my tax return I'm going to buy a 240. So, basically the mustang project's going to end here (call me superstitious, but the mustang's been in at least 2 or 3 accidents in its life so far; seems like an unlucky car if you ask me)... I'll be replacing the strut and hoping for the best this friday (I'm hoping the strut is the only thing that is bent). Next weekend I'll probably get it aligned, and this spring I still plan on cutting the springs to lower it 1.5" or so.

And yes, I'm already coming up with plans for the 240. It'll be nice to be modifying a sport compact again

 

yeah the 240 is such a bad *** car.
sr or rb swap? or are you gonna beef up and turbo the ka for the price of a swap?
coupe or hatch? if its a coupe are you doing a silvia front end?
silvia verts look bad *** though. throw in a lil negative camber and its rediculous
so many possibilities lol

but if you get a hatch just make it nice and clean.
i regret selling mines.. clean 240's are hard to come by lol

 

I'm leaning towards an s13 hatch. Basically, I'm going to keep it stock-bodied (assuming I get a chuki... pignose ftl IMO)... I'm thinking do some suspension work (slam it, and I have swaybars sitting in my basement already), custom ITBs, header, exhaust, possibly a cam, mildly stripped interior (no rear seat, but carpet where the seat was for a clean look), maybe a mild wire tuck. I'll probably throw on some low offset wheels (deep lip ftw).

It depends... I was talking to my friend Jaydon and he said if I ever decided to sell the mustang, he'd take it... so I might give it to him for $4500 or something this spring when I buy the 240. If that's the case, I'm thinking maybe a ca18det swap (sr20's are overrated, and I can't afford a vq/rb swap). I completely forgot about the lsd, but I'll probably be getting one fairly early in the build since it's a pretty important supporting mod.

I'm thinking if I do end up selling it, I'll probably get an EG for use as a winter car (knowing me, I'll probably still modify it, but probably nothing major).

First I have to decide if I'm going to actually sell it though... I probably will if Jaydon's willing to give me $4500 for it, but I'm not sure I'll be willing to part with it for much less; I know I won't see the $3k I have in mods done to it when I sell it, but if I can't get ~$4500, I'll probably just hang on to the car for a while and get my money's worth
