tirerack is fine, just ordered my ~3rd full set of tires from them a week ago, shipping was only about 3 days on their part. If the experience wasn't that great, then chances are it was your fault, lol.

I know exactly why it's taking so long with the order; they're all legitimate reasons, and only one of them is my fault (listing my apartment as my billing address simply because I was in a hurry when I ordered). I actually appreciated them calling me to confirm the tire size since it's not technically the right size for my car since it shows they care about their customers. What puzzles me is why they called my cell phone to give me the confirmation number to verify that I'm the cardholder when my home phone was listed as the billing number; if I wasn't the cardholder, I'd still have received the confirmation number and been able to complete the order, so the entire thing seems kind of silly to me.

edited, lord voldy

And I got the hole in my tire either during or right before doing a burnout ... right before I came out onto the road sideways it sounded like I was driving over rocks (and there were scattered rocks on the road so I didn't think much of it), so I'm thinking there might have been some glass on the road or something.

I was wondering what that was supposed to be, but figured it'd be better if I didn't ask

Anyway, the scoops are going to be red; I've seen black scoops on red mustangs, and it looks incredibly tacky IMO.

Also, the scoops should be shipped out tuesday; from what I understand he's shipping through his work, and he doesn't have work monday due to memorial day... in other words, they'll be on the car by the following week.

w00t! I finally found a place that sells the Rota P45R individually instead of in sets of 4... so the 1" size/.5" width stagger will be a reality!!!

Now anyone want to loan me $800 to order the wheels? Or $850 for the tires?
(and yes, that's right. My tires are going to cost $50 more than the wheels they'll be mounted on lol)

Also, here's the exact sizing that will be going on the rear (+25mm offset and all); the fronts will be the same, just 1" smaller in diameter:

Sorry for the giant pic... but they're sexy, right?

Those are some nice looking wheels. But damn, those are some costly tires!
