Reaper's Mustang Project (abridged version)
haha, a LOT.
The short-term project is to get the suspension completely re-done (tubular k-member, tubular a-arms, 2" drop spindles, front coilover conversion, 8.8" rear end with 3.90 gears, rear coilover conversion), 10th anniversary cobra calipers with drilled & slotted rotors up front (the drilled and slotted because you can get them cheap and they look aggressive; I'm not worried about brake fade, and even if I were, I know enough to know that drilled and slotted rotors aren't that effective at combating it), 10th anniversary wheels (17x9 in front, 18x10 in back), the side skirts you probably saw I posted about earlier, cobra folding mirrors, a steeda 2000 Cobra R splitter, steeda race wing, corbeau seats (fx-1 pro for the driver's side, cr1 for the passenger), Maximum Motorsports 4-point roll bar, corbeau harnesses, and a new paint job (3-stage performance red with gold flake in the clear, 2-tone with a gloss black roof and the accents I already have in black).
Long-term, I'm pretty much fully building the engine; stroked to a 4.2L, cammed, head work, windstar intake manifold, and a custom twin-turbo kit. If I get bored with that power level, I might look into twin-charging it (twin turbos and an M112 blower from an '03/'04 cobra).
But for now, I'm just going to get new tires, new front calipers, camber/caster plates, struts, and lower it. Then I'm going to buy a sportbike; after the bike is paid off, I'm going to start working on the mustang again, picking up where I left off.
