Good news, everbody!

I finally broke down and decided to stay after work and throw my wheels on the balancer to see what tires needed replaced, as I was fairly convinced I had a broken belt in one of them. That theory kind of went out the window when one of the rear wheels was over 2oz off (not really sure how that happened). Needless to say, all my tires are perfectly balanced (somehow even the one wheel that I know is slightly bent), so I don't need tires ASAP like I thought I did.

So, basically, the next order of business is new front calipers, then new shocks/struts, camber/caster adjuster plates, and it will be lowered

Then I'm going to employ my 2nd amendment rights, and after that I'll play with the interior a little bit.

Not woot =/

On my way to work this morning, the vibration came back at around 60. It wasn't as bad as it used to be, but since all the wheels/tires are now perfectly balanced, it's definitely not the wheels or tires. What's frustrating is I can't even figure out where it's coming from. You can feel it in the steering wheel a little, but you can really feel it in the seat, and the rear-view vibrates like crazy, so it's definitely coming from the rear, but maybe from the front too. I'm thinking it might be the driveshaft or a u-joint, but I would think if it were one of those two I'd be feeling it at lower speeds, too (which also rules out a flat-spotted tire as I'd be feeling that at low speeds also).

I'm pretty much stumped at this point =/

Really, I'm kind of hoping it's due to my dragging calipers. I know the rotors are warped, and I know the front calipers are hanging up, so I'm thinking that might be the cause of it. But I guess we'll see when I replace the calipers and sliders; either way, the calipers need replaced as dragging front brakes kill pads, rotors, power, and fuel economy.

chris it could be your exhaust in a bind or the drive shaft u-joints, does it feel like its under your seat or in the back?

I believe the term you're looking for is "sequencing"? I agree. They're cool. But they're all over the place here.

Daryl, I know it's not the exhaust since I actually re-adjusted the exhaust to give myself a little ground clearance while the car was on the lift at work; it's not touching anything and it was happening before I touched anything.

As far as the U-joints, I'm not sure; I would think I'd be able to feel it at lower speeds, too. I would also think it would dependent on engine speed, which it doesn't seem to be (only vehicle speed; sometimes it starts at 50, sometimes 65, sometimes not at all). It seems like it's only once the tires warm up, but that could just be me looking for causes. But it's coming from the rear; the only places you can't feel the vibration are the pedals and steering wheel. My bet's still on a broken belt, which could or could not show up balancing a tire, especially if the symptoms only present themselves when the tires are warmed up. Maybe I'll stop being lazy and road-force balance them and see if that shows me something.

If it is one of the U-joints, it sounds like a good excuse to get an aluminum flywheel and change over to flowmaster resonators tucked up sort of in the driveshaft tunnel like I've been meaning to get done

And addiction, I'm planning on getting meter4it's "chase" tail light module. It's like the sequentials, but it has a pattern for both the lights turning on and off. Makes for some really cool turn signals.

nice. well for a quick tire test just buy 2 steel wheels with tires you can slap on the car to test out the front and if it still shakes switch em to the rear set of wheels and see if it goes away... worst case a still got 2 fullsize spare wheels
