How post clickable words that redirect to websites?
In caveman fashion, I post entire weblinks into threads. It's time for me to modernize. Can some wise person please tell me how to do what the title states?
An example of what I would like to learn to do can be found in post #2 of this thread:

[url=http://example.com]Example[/ur]
replace " http://example.com" with the link and replace "Example" with the name. also add an "L" to the word url at the end. can't post the whole code or you would see what you want to see instead of the code.
i've just searched up wikipedia and this should help you. the codes under BB Code would work on forums. the code you want is the 6th code. hope this helps

You can also use the icon that looks like a world, with a single chain link beneath it when you're posting, or replying. Highlight the word that you want to act as the link, and then paste the url in the box that pops up. Does the same as the [ url= ......]example[/url]

Thanks again. I probably made some type of syntax error, though I retyped the phrase several times.

I see that you already got your question answered, but here's the easiest/fastest way to do it.
1. Type your words (they can be any number of letters, numbers, spaces, etc.)
2. Highlight the word or phrase you want to be the link and then click the hyperlink button.
3. Type or paste the URL of the web page you want to link to, and click OK.
4. End Result:
