1990 Civic hatchback dual port injection, SOHC
I am new to the compact sports car scene and am wondering How to get a little more umph out of my wheels. I am not sure on the displace ment or what tipe of block that I have. I have read about b series and d series blocks. How do I determine which I have? The car is stock. Dual port injection like I said. I read that the fastest way is to put a cat back on, header, intake manifold, cool air intake, and go from there. I am looking at a new cam gear. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Stand in front of your car with the hood up, and on the lower left hand side of the block, there should be a flat piece with something like D16Y8 stamped on it. Thats your engine code. Intake, Header, High flow cat, Cat-back are the most common "first mods." After those, the possibilities are endless.

Do a DPFI to MPFI conversion and intake. That should rev it up a bit.
