2004 exhaust manifold

Hi, I'd like an opinion on the replacement manifold gasket on my 2004 Civic DX.

Is it better to remove the nuts and bolts when the manifold is hot, or better to remove
when the engine is completely cold.

I don't wanna take a chance having the bolts breaking off in the head.

BTW, there is 5 mounting holes, are they all studs with nuts??

I know the 2 outter sides are nuts, but can't see the 3 in the middle due to the exhaust shield.

Please confirm...as I want to by new ones upon install.

Thanks,

Civic28

soak them in PB Blaster for a couple days before removal and if i remember correctly there are nuts and bolts. yup bolts DIY: D17A1 Header Installation - 7th Gen Honda Forum - The #1 Community for 2001-2005 Honda Civic Enthusiasts
