4-1 header = better top end
4-2-1 header = better mid-range power

I'm gonna recommend a 4-2-1, and next time you should probably use the Search feature, this has been covered quite a few times

I think the 4-2-1 header's are better for honda's For a couple reasons. We don't have that much power in the lower rpm range to begin with.Only around 3500 rpms and once v-tec kicks in around 4500you feel that burst of power. So a 4-2-1 would help in the lower andmid-range power output.
The 4-1 would only give you power at high rpm's, you might feel a little mid-range but mostly at high like at 5000 and above.

But to be really critical you wont get the most noticeable hp gains unless you get a real expensive header designed for your model car. Like I've heard Bisimoto is very nice. But you will feel some noticeable gains maybe 3-5 hp with a dc sports, megan racing header, or hedman header. Which are under $400 dollars. Do some more research on this site to find out more info. good luck.

and to add to the brands, if you want a little added power for like $55, get an ebay header, althoguh you run a risk of hte welds breaking and bad fitment. I've just got an ebya header, had it for about a year now and so far i've been lucky, it fit really well and i also noticed slight gains, but if you wanna drop $150 or so, get a Megan header. They are a good brand for pretty cheap, but if you are in Cali they wont pass emissions. DC sports will pass emissions though, thats why they're so expensive.

Sojust like so many other cases, you basically get what you pay for

Then get a Hedmen header... they're basically the same price (if you get the Chikara header), and they offer the same gains. I'm happy with my Chikara, anyway.

Configuration no longer matters when Bisimoto is added to the comparison. Bisimoto = simply the best. You can pick one up used for 400-600 if you know where to look.

Other than that I say get Megan.

4-2-1 will probably be your best choice unless you plan on racing or something.

If you do get the 4-2-1 do you lose any top end power??

Nope... not that I know of, at least. I think you have gains all over the rev range, but the biggest ones are towards the lower end.
