hello civic nation, let me say again this is one of THE most pro websites i've seen! after installing headers (headman/chikara) on a friends 99 LX we noticed there is only 1 02 hole/bung on the aftermarket headers. the check engine light comes on and he now has issues with a brief stumble at idle. one 02 sensor is in the header the other is just zip tied and un-installed. how can i fix this. any advice well help out alot. we've notice a slight jump in midrange monkey power. we can only guess this will increase after the cel is fixed. please help.

You need an O2 simulator.

I don't know any off hand because I haven't bought a header yet.

thanks and yes i've tried the search feature. with little help. i did see you try to help someone with the 02 simulator response. i need a reply from someone who has purchased and installed an 02 simulator. the car is a 99 civic LX. i just installed a 4-2-1 headman header. the header only allows for one 02 sensor to be installed. please help thanks.

 

do you still have a cat? if not get a high flow cat with a O2 bung predrilled.

 

Check e-bay man, there should be tons of O2 simulators to choose from. You may want to get someone else's two cents about them tho, as i have no experience with them.

 

i have been on the bay and have found nothing helpful? what i 've found will not help me?
