AEM CAI
Will someone please tell me what is so special about AEM that they can charge $200+ for their CAI? Obviously I don't have one and I'm a stinkin' newb to boot, but enlighten me.
ps- I know the last post was mine, I promise I'm not post-whoring.

aem spends a lot of money and time researching how to make the best intake. Many people all intakes are the same except for the filter, but aem makes good piping which helps to increase horsepower. Also look on ebay and you should be able to find one for around $150.
As always i say that you should just custom ur cai. As state above most intake are just the same even a custom cai will perform the like a brand name one. Just buy sum piping and buy a k&n filter.

In my opinion, if you aren't planning on doing a whole lot to your car besides intake (just small other things) then the difference between an AEM intake and an ebay one is very small. The difference comes the more you modify the engine, thats when there may a larger difference between them. AEM also ceramic coats the tubing they sell which helps a good deal with heat dissapation...and with that I will end with a question. Does anyone know where to buy a ceramic based paint that one could use to coat an ebay intake with? I can't seem to find any...havent bought an intake yet, but if I could find some ceramic based paint that would probably sway my decision a good deal
AEM is THE BEST company when it comes to intake systems. They put time and research into each one... perfect angles, perfect sizes, even distances and angles of the MAF sensor. Not to mention that they are street legal... unlike about 95% of Ebay intakes.
