aem cold air
so i got and aem cold air intake. i put it on and everything but it just doesnt seem any better, it actually kinda feels slower. what could i have done wrong. and i know you cant drive into puddles witha cold air but what about when its raining or it just rained and you avoid all the puddles, is it ok?
any CELs? Did you hook up all the lines and put the IAT sensor back in place properly? And honestly dont really worry about sucking up water. If theres a big puddle, i mean you could take some caution around that, but unless you completely submerge the filter you dont have much to worry about
i don't actually know what to say... not many places you can mess up on an intake install. if you don't have a cel and you're sure everything is hooked up correctly, i'm out of ideas. did you unhook the neg terminal to the battery when you did the install?
Unhook the negative battery terminal for like 5 to10 mins but even after that just an intake isn't going to be very noticable. Most of what people say they think is gained is usually just in their head.

Car upgrades depend on eachother. Everything you put on your car will give you better gains if you install something else with it. Get a new header, high flow cat, and a catback. (all name brand, proven companys) and then you will see something more noticable. Even still it isn't going to make your car a racecar. If you want real power you are going to have to either use a turbo, nitrous, or swap the engine with a bigger one.
do you have a D series? They dont respond as well to bolt ons as DOHC's (of course excluding the ZC's you guys), so you're not gonna see much gains anyway, mostly some sound, which means the gains are in your head
