i wanna buy the aem cold intake system from ebay i saw this one which fits my honda civic dx 97

how can u tell if the item is aem original
just curious coz aem web site sells the system for 300 and on ebay its 160$ almost half the price
..................

watch the shipping too, but the street price of an AEM intake is lower than the MSRP.

 

theres only one cold air intake from AEM. the V2 isnt a CAI on most cars...post a link up too. it would help

 

I bought an AEM short ram off ebay for like 50$ brand new. And I had the same worries as lordyrichie, but when it got to my house it was completely authentic and I paid about 10$ shipping.

I would say they all look legit but I would go with the first or third ones to be on the safe side.

 

i got a AEM V2 cold air intake...looks like about 3 inch...i had it in a 96 dx so it should fit yours too..ill sell it to you for 180 shipped

Yeah, the best way to tell if its legit is to read EVERY single word on the site. The other really good way is to go with a company that has a very high rating (percentage-wise upwards of 98% is possible). If they dont say "AEM style" or "Greddy EVO style" and just say AEM or Greddy EVO exhaust system and ship a knock-off they are bound to get bad reviews.
