AEM V2
I signed up a while ago but have been super busy with work and what not. I have searched andthe AEM V2 is apparently the best intake by consensus. I have searched google for about 10 hours today looking for one but can't seem to find one. Does anybody know where to find the V2that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg? Ebay is an option but I would rather not if possible.

Try the DC Sports website (dcsports.com) Its like $300+ I believe on the site but its worth every penny (remember you get what you pay for).

Well it appears that they do not mae a V2 for my car yet, co a regular AEM cas will have to do.

I was reading the online instructions for the CAI and it says that I need the anti theft radio code and I need to drain about a liter of coolant, are these things true, because draining it wouldn't be a problm but finding the radio code would be.

how do you not have the radio code? didn't you just buy the car? it should be in your manual somewhere

bout the radio code u have to call the dealer for that and they will ask you're vin # AEM is ok but i have ARC on my 00 civic

i dont know why you'd have to drain your coolant to install an intake :eek:

mxs, relax, I read that manual front to back and it is not in there. As for draining the coolant it says in the instruction manual that I would need to drain about a liter of it. I think the only reason that I would need the security code is because if the battery is disconnected, but I can't imagine needing to unhook the battery to install an intake.

if you ever drain your battery somehow you're going to need that radio code to turn it back on. so if you can't find it written in the manual, see if you can find it in some of the paperwork from the dealer
the coolant draining probably has something to do with coolant lines run to the throttle body, I'm not familiar with how they are run in your car though so I don't know if that's actually necessary. |

disconnecting hte battery resets the ECU, sometimes you pull a CEL because of the new intake, and resetting the ECU sometimes takes care of it. Just disconnect the negative (-) side of the battery for like 10 minutes and hook it back up, you'll be all set.
