Default air intake installation

is this cord supposed to go over the air intake like this? Thanks --- and so far I'm loving the noise and added power I can feel with this product.

it looks like if that really bothers you you could disconnect the air intake and run that black cord under the intake

what year/model Civic is this in? There isnt any cord like on my 99, but it doenst look like the same engine. It's probably okay though. Was it like that on the old OEM intake? If so you'll be fine, and if it bugs you, run it under the intake like Roadkill said

no, you can't move it or you will bind the cable. it's best to leave the throttle cable as is, it will not harm anything.

its an 01 lx coupe

i don't remember if it was like that with OEM intake but I was just asking because I wasn't sure if the mechanic did a proper job or not. I wasnt sure if the cable was potentially blocking anything/could give me problems down the line. Thanks

and will it be easy to remove the air filter when I need to clean? sorry I'm a major noob.

the filter is extremely easy to remove and clean, easier than stock

the cable should be fine where it is. don't try to bend it against it's natural bending
