back pressure, low end help, d15b7
Still dont know what to do, need you'll help. Have a d15b7, crappy yes I know. Have a AEM SRI, stock headers, stock exhaust. Dont want to put alot of money and waist it. The whole backpressure low end power thing is worrying me. Looking at getting just a muffler on stock piping, know i wont gain any power really on that 1.5 engine. Just want a little better engine performance. Looking at megan racing, 2.5 inlet, 4" outlet. I dont know exactly what the stock piping is, but it looks like the inlet is 1". Will this muffler mess me up, and make my driving experience worse?
Thanks, alot, really not sure what to do.

Stock mufflers (OEM) are so restricted for air flow..Even if you just add a aftermarket exhaust it should help the engine release the flow easier through the exhaust.
If i where you I would just add 2 1/4" pipping from the resonator to the new exhaust. You should see a difference. I would go with a Magnaflow Street Series muffler. This are stainless steel. I purchase from this guy on E-bay, good seller and gives free shipping. I like oval exhaust over Round one's. Oval more packing...Round less packing..Two different tones. Oval sound much thicker (deep) but not annoying
This is the exhaust I got On My 00 Si..........any of the followings will work for you all have the 2.25" inlet
