Default Best air intake ?

I have a stainless system from the cat back and any day i should take delivery of a stainless 4 into 1 manifold, im going to manufacture a decat pipe ( handy being an engineer and working with guys that are ace at stainless welding ),

once i have this all stainless system i will be thinking about the air intake,

At the minute i have the good old growling k & n 57i in place, looking for some advice as to where to go from there ?

Any advice will be welcomed.

Yours, Vtinut.

I love my Injen SRI.
Everyone here seems to like the V2 though.

Yay, v2 ftw . I ordered mine Friday and it should be here soon. V2 is dyno'd to have the best gains than SRI or CAIs. But, before I put it in.. I'm gonna make a video of revving my engine, and after I get the Intake installed so people can hear the difference.

Copied from the INTAKE FAQ:

Q: What intake should I get?
A: This is a very broad question. The answer to this really depends on a variety of things, including the money you’re willing to spend, the amount of power that you ultimately want, the climate around your location, and more.

Q: What is the best intake?
A: The best intake, from popular consensus seems to be the AEM v2. The AEM v2 is not a CAI but more of a SRI (at least it seems to be this way for newer vehicles [including the 7th gen civics] ). It is unquestionably that the v2 is pricy, but for the most power (proven by dynos) this is the way to go in terms of intake.

I say the V2 isn't really worht the money, the gains aren't gonna be THAT much more noticable for the extra money you pay. I say AEM or Injen CAI, or even an eBay intake w/ a nice filter would do just fine. You're gonna notice some subtleties of the AEM and Injen intakes that are better than the generic eBay one, so if you wanna throw down an extra $50 - $100 for the name brand, you'll notice the better quality of it.

AEM cold air or V2 - either way you can't go wrong. Check out my sig for install instructions. I wave to warn you, though to carefully examine all components once you open the box. I had to send mine back two times because one or more pipe ends were distorted from shipping damage.

Well, I know that.. But like stated above, depending on your Generation, it could be SRI or CAI. But its different because the different plumbing technology. I don't think of it as a SRI or CAI, personally.. Just because its so 'different' to me. But, for the money i'd go with AEM V2, for most gains. But, thats just me.. I don't cheap out when it comes to performance, I go with the top-notch and best stuff, even if it costs a little more money.
