Default Best EBay intake? D15B7

Hey all. I was at Advance auto and I went to check my filter only for the airbox to crack. Fortunately, I stopped after it was one of the screw mounts that have the crack. Anyways, rather than go to the junkyard and risk another airbox breakage (guess I overtorque things) or spend $1000000 at Largo Honda for one, I thought of getting a short rammer on EBay. Waddya think of this? Cost to much, or worth it?

Is your intake manifold pointed sideways? If not that is not the intake for you.

If that is not a D15B7, then the universe is ready to collapse onto itself!

How about this one:

almost all intakes out there do the same thing, so find the cheapest one you can, the first one looks fine and buy it

Well, I got the second one, and the guy sent me the one for a 99+ Civic. It fits fine, and I thought the car would be hissing when I started it up. Well, it was hissing, as I expected, but when I got the engine warm and put the boot down I got a surprise! The car is friggin LOUD! I got someone to rate my engine noise and I am 50% towards ricer kazoo sound! [sm=ummmmokay.gif] Now my car has gone from 98% rice free to 30% rice! [:@] I am changing my SRI because its the wrong one, and someone wants to buy it from me when I get my new one.

So, how am I going to make this quieter? Or is it a fact of life to feel the audible lack of power of the engine through my bones? I expected the engine to be noisier, but not like this!

Sound clips come later...

Waddya nuts?! It just PISSED rain here! I opted for a short ram because surprisingly, there is a lot of places for water to pool in the Keys! I opted for a SRI so I won't suck up water.

One-time disclaimer: I am a politically incorrect person, so I make lots of sarcastic/suggestive comments. Do not take offense!

So you're saying that it is normally this loud?
