Im gettin a cold air intake for my civic and i was wondering if civics have mass air flow sensors because i know the aftermarket intakes dont come with them. I had a sri on my mustang with no mass air flow sensor hook up for it and the car went to s***. So does my civic have a mass air flow sensor i need to worry about or any other sensors that ill be left unhooked?

 

some quality intakes have mass flow sensor mountings already built in.

That is the only intake for a civic that ive seen with the spots to bolt one in but its for an Si. Even the AEM intakes dont have spots for the sensor. Someone told me a while back on here that civics dont have mass air flow sensors, is that true or do i need to fine one with the hook up?

 

hondas have a speed density setup that runs off of the map sensor... there is no MAF

 

so do the aftermarket intakes come with that or does it just end up not being hooked up? If its not hooked up is it a big deal?
