Default CAI and Cat Back Exhaust

Just got my 2005 Honda Civic LX sedan last year.

It is still all stock.

I am thinking about getting a cold air intake and possibly a cat back exhaust.
But being new and all I am not sure what is good or not.

I have talked to a friend and he says that AEM, Ingen, DC Sports, and Greddy are good brands.

I have seen that Magnaflow makes an exhaust for my car and doesnt seem to be too loud.

I want to get a noticable performance difference. I dont want something that is going to be super loud.

Also does anybody worry about hydrolock with a CAI.

What would be better to have mid range power or high end power.

Any help is welcome.

Hydrolock would not be a major issue with a cai. The filter would have to become submerged in water and that would be atleast a 9" puddle. Magnaflow is a great alternative to a more expensive japanese exhaust, not to loud but not quiet. Greddy exhaust has a really nice tone to it but will cost more.

all those brands are good. if it dosnt rain or flood in ur area then u shouldnt worry about hydrolocking but just be careful. Magnaflow is a pretty good exhaust and cheap, its not as deep tone as other but still sounds alright, not to loud either. cai and a 4-1 header will be best for mid-high end power.
