Default CAI fit under upper strut bar?

I ordered a KN CAI part # K33573513 for my 2004 civic dx. I havent got it yet but looking at the picture I'm wondering if I have to get rid of my front tower bar. will the CAI fit under the bar? Looks like the intake pipe is flexible, but smashing it to make it fit would defeat the purpose (flow). I suppose I could wait and see, but would appreciate any advice. thanks

You'll have to take off the strut to fit it then bend the cai to fit the strut back. It'll rattle so you'll need to get some wrap or something to keep it from doing so.

Thanks, I know it was a noob question but got to thinking about clearance problems AFTER I ordered the CAI and didn't want to give up the front tower bar unless I had to.

well it might be different for your app. your tb is top mo unted so it might have clearence issues with that...but now that i think of it i think chimera had his strut bar on before he did the y8 manifold swap.

have you ever looked under the engine bay of an integra? theyre like the exact same as a civic but a little more cramped because the engine is bigger.
