Can a short ram coexist with a cold air intake?
okay...so when I asked my friends about this they laughed and stared at me....not because it wasa stupid question but because we had no idea if it is possible: Is it possible to have both a short ram intake and a cold air intake under the hood? ...when I imagined it I saw the intake pipe split two ways, one going horizontally for the short ram intake and one extending down near the fender for the cold air intake. Is this possible...would it **** up my car? I'm prepared to be ripped apart by car experts.
it would be pointless because the throttle body can only take in so much air, so while you may be getting air faster, it will still go in at the same speed. super cooling the intake's air via a cry02 (sp?) however, would be the best "intake" mod you could do. not sure if nitrous is compatible with that, but if it was, that'd be some pretty crazy *** combo lol. go with a cai or sri and call it a day.
well, you would get the best of both worlds somewhat, but the sri section will be a majority of the incoming air. it would be nice if there was a partialelectronic valve to switch to sri at low rpms and cai at higher rpms. it might not show any gains, but it's a plus in my book for ingenuity.
