Can I put a cat back exhaust on a stock car? Will it fit becouse the cat back is 2.5" ID and stock like 2".

Thanks.

I'm assuming if you get a brand name like Magnaflow you won't have any problems at all

How? It doesn't make any scense. Then what if I had 2.5" headers? Then would that fit also, then if both fit then there would still be a 2" id in your exhaust nullifying the headers and cat back. If you have 2.5" piping with one peice of 2" id pipe then there is no purpose of ether the headers or cat back. the 2" will restict to 2" no matter how big the other piping is. We call that a bottle neck, which is bad.

No matter what but the cat back exhaust will connect all the way up to your catalytic converter not to the headers

What yr is it and model

Correct, and most header pipes neck down a bit. Unless your engine is cranking out300 HP, there is no need to run 2.5 inch or 3-inch diameter pipes all the way back.

BTW, I just ordered a set of Magnaflows. Those and AEMs will go in during Christmas break.

Hey, it almost looks like I'm copying your setup - Eibach springs, Magnaflows, AEM intake....

....although I made my own shift ****....

Those of you with Magnaflow exhaust....how do they compare to the Greddy Evo 2 and SP2 systems? Ive got the Evo 2 and I LOVE it! As for performance wise, is there any difference? I guess it would all depend on the engine mods, correct? Im just curious. I paid $650 for that cat back system, so it sure as hell better be a good one!

Then that means they're just noise makers like intakes.
